I normally hunt in Mecklenburg, last week I got a small button. (archery hunt only) I got out to my folks place in Locust last night, found a tree and Ill tell ya the deer are moving good, and are responcive. I called in some smaller does with a bleat, had one under my stand, another 10 yrds away. I waited for more to show, saw 2 larger deer about 70 yrds off, and a feral cat ran them off! Either way, just posting this cold weather is pushin them around. I havent seen any rut specific behaviors, nor was I sucessful in rattling this morning.
