Default Sucess tonight in NOVA

I was able to get out tonight and was able to harvest this 8 pointer at 5:15pm. Not a giant but I am happy with him. Shot him in Fairfax County in the Clifton area.

Congratulations on a great looking buck. NoVa is starting to heat up.

Nice sled. Do you take in with you or come back out for?

I always keep the sled in my truck starting in Sept. I use it for everything from taking ladder stands in/out of the woods, to goose decoys, deer. That thing is handy. Once I recovered the deer and field dressed him I went back to the truck to drop off my stuff then brought it back into the woods.

nice deer! I have been out three times this week and have only seen one deer. Usually the first two weeks of October aren't very exciting, so I don't expect much.

Nice Bucks!! Good way to start off the season! Where do you hunt in Fairfax? Is it on private land?? I've been looking for places to hunto closer than Quantico, but most are "Public Land" that require a lottery and I was to late for that. Congrats!!
