Cool New to the Forum...

Hello everyone, I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. My names Sean I'm 25 and I grew up down in Florida. Though I've spent most of my years in the rocky mountains I currently live in central FL. I love hunting and fishing and do it year round.

I'm not looking for any advice but I drew Citrus WMA this year and don't really have anyone to hunt with. Any one else hunt that area or have any tips for a person new to the area. I live right down the road and had a chance to do some scouting and saw ALOT of does but no good bucks. I have a permit for archery muzzleloader and gun for citrus. I also plan on hunting goathe, flying eagle and maybe some trips to richloam.

Looking forward to being a contributing member of the site. I've been a member over at biggamehunt.net for a little while and stumbled upon this place. Lots of great info here.

Thanks

AA

Welcome to the South. Alot of knowledge on this forum, at the same time sometimes you have to watch where you're stepping around here.

Welcome to the ward...........

That 's funny Swampdog..but have to agree with ya. Welcome sir....I've never hunted Citrus..but many on here have. Three Lakes is a serous long drive but has become my favorite..simply because it's not as pressured..all my other hunting in Florida has been in the Green Swamp..and that place is getting quite a bit of pressure..As far as putting some meat in the freezer..I think archery is our best option..the modern day bows are as good as rifles at close range and it's nice to be allowed to shoot a juicy doe. I drew an archery for Three Lakes as well as a muzzleloader for 3 lakes.

Thanks for the welcome guys. It's buck only over at citrus but that shouldn't be to hard to find. I've got a few nice areas in mind. Hopefully I can pull something out of there considering I'm hunting there during every season.

I drew green swamp several years ago and never got a chance to make it out there. If all else fails I'll be running around with the rest of the crazy's over a richloam during dog season.

Flying eagle is my fallback plan for archery. It's got some really great deer if your able to draw a tag.
