Any body have success in South Carolina last year with any method of take? Just wondering what to expect when I go out there in November.

The rut was just weird last year. Deer movment was all messed up.

Hope this year is better.

I only hunted there a few times and I was lucky I even saw a deer.....1 deer in 4 trips, lol...needless to say I won't be going back......saw lots of sign just nothing while I was in my stand(s).....

The deer are funny in Sc and Georgia...and yea the rut was crazy...The rut came in 2 weeks early

I did pretty good there last year. Several bucks and a couple does. Early season was a wash. It was just too hot!

Hunting in S.C. is a little different than the colder climates. We don't have a definitive rut rather what we call a trickle. It starts in Sept. and lasts till late Nov. with some exceptions. I saw a ton of deer but they do not like a lot of 4 wheeler traffic. So many good hunting locations are ruined by atv's. We hunt 350 ac. and see a ton of deer, and yet our neighbors, who use a tv's alot do not. Think about it

I shot 5 in 2009 and my friend shot 19. He put on a lot of miles scouting and hunting. Lots of deer here. You just have to go after them.
