I live right next to Pocahontas State Park. I' ve been there a couple of times during general firearms season & have yet to see a deer. Bow & muzzleloading may be better. They say there are deer in there, just not that many!
I have had better luck on the WMA' s in Amelia & Powhatan.

I agree with Broey1. I too hunt Amelia and Powhatan (and sometimes Chickahominy) and they are good. Pocahontas S.P.?!?!? Run.... Run far away.... [
