Does anybody know if I need a permit to carry a 22 revolver in a holster as long as its not concealed while hunting?

On a WMA or Private property, you do not need a permit to carry it the way you explained. You may not use it as a primary weapon for killing Deer.

Agree'd, And it must be concealed. Its always good to read the regs for each WMA and a easy way to do that is go to www.myfwc.com and look for individual WMA.

Yep .22! Had a squirrel the other day 5-10 feet away just sitting there. Anything more might not leave much meat.
