See them in Loudoun alot. Neighbor shoots them all the time, has a problem with them going after sheep, and pygmy goats. Seen one in fairfax in the great falls area. My friend she has a picture or two of coyotes and a bear in her back yard in Fairfax.Thecounty came and tried to trap the bear. Never did get it.

They're in every county in Virginia, including Arlington and Fairfax.

Arlington?.......Where? Sorry if I sound naive here. I just had no idea that yotes are so prevalent in this area. I have never seen or heard about them where I livein Arlington, let alone where I hunt in Fairfax, although what do I know?? I've only been hunting in Northern Virginia this year. Everywhere elseI've been hunting over the years in Virginia.......... it is nowa common occurance to see them.

VA Shadow - I live in Arlingotn as well and haven't seen them either. However, there have been reports in the Sun Gazette, confirmed by animal control, of coyotes in Arlington. The latest I remember was crossing Ohio St. near the bike trail and Rte. 66. Heck, I had a fork horn walking up Quantico St. near my house last fall and I live in an area zoned R6.

I forgot to add that they're definitely in Rock Creek Park on the DC side as well. Wildlife can move fairly freely through the Potomac Gorge and then come up through the park land surrounding bike trails, etc.
