Anybody have any luck this weekend? I passed on quite a few on Saturday morning and only saw a few at a distance Saturday afternoon.

Let some walk earlier in the week. 1 doe w/ 2 fawns came w/in range but I had just climbed into the stand. Going out again next week to put one in the freezer.

Whats upguys just got stationed in va and im trying to get so help finding a good place to go hunting also. Va5326 you said you went around knocking on doors that sounds like a good idea. As far as government land to hunt on got and ideas? Some help would be great!

It all depends on where you are stationed at in Virginia. Ft A.P. Hill, Ft Belvoir, and Quantico all have great hunting programs as far as Northern Virginia is concerned.

Waiting till next Saturday. Been seeing a lot of bucks in the area, dont want them to catch on, Last night i saw a bachlor group of about 6 bucks all fairly young, and 1 120class 8 pointer, he will be nice next year.

ive taken 4 so far--2 in fairfax and 2 in loudoun. passed on some w/ fawns. i dont want to educate the bucks so im not overhunting any of my propereties

You guys might think I'm full of it, but I passed on three different family groups and one bachelor grouptonight here in Fairfax.Total of about 15 deer in all.Couple of decent bucks.... one shooter. It was raining water....... and acorns.
