Good luck stillhunting there. A friend of mine has told me on numerous occasions they have problems jumping deer with dogs there and that they look for tracks from 3-4 in the morning to daylight and MIGHT find enough to run dogs all day. The deer population must really be really low down there.

millerhunt13,

That is almost unheard of not getting selected for any permits. I have in the past not got my first two choices but have always got my third choice. Look inthe WMA's for some locations that open up the area after the first 8-9 days. There are a quite a few of those placesaround.

If you hunt Richloam, hunt the Richloam/Green Swamp fence. If you hunt Green Swamp, hunt the Green Swamp/ Richloam fence...

The dogs in Richloam chase the deer to the Green Swamp fence and you see thembefore they jump the fenceand when hunting on the Green Swamp side you see the deercoming over the fence..

Study your Maps!

Edit: BTW, I have always gotten my first choices. I go to the Airport Post Office 1 minute aftermidnight onJune 1stand it ispost marked June 2nd.......and I'm talking years!!!

Does Richloam still have some quota hunts open? Upper hillsborough looks like it has some hunts open. When can we apply for the leftover hunts? I forgot to signup the first time [:@].
