Default VDHA/hunt alliances Positive or Negative???

Will someone please let me know if there are any dog hunting groups that will offer positive suggestions to the problems we are currently facing? I'd love to join a group that offers some positive suggestions regarding hound/dog hunting and the current V Tech study group. All I seem to hear is a lot of anger and threats. I never hear what any dog or still group is doing to meet the other half-way. It's like some sort of bloody civil war. If there is no compromise, someone will loose it all. I just don't want it to be all hunters in general.

Let's get together and promote Sunday hunting; any opportunity to get our families and kids in the field, still or dog hunting. Let's try and work out solutions with all groups, VDGIF, politicians, still hunters,Sunday hunters, Dog clubs andpro outdoor groups to use our resources wisely. No one can have it all their way, thattime has passed. We all need to give a little, or find a way to keep what we havewhile protecting others.

I would just like to see everyone drop the selfish rhetoric and start finding solutions to the problems. That's all. We are all good people, we just need to find common ground to stand on. Thanks.

I apologize. Let me clarify. Dog hunters are not selfish. Dog hunters are by far great sportsman, devoted to their dogs and their sport. What pisses me off is when VHDA and other "alliances" act irresponsibly, stopping other hunters from expanding the sport to Sundays, etc. The refulsal to compromise, threatening politicians and public officialsis becomingtheir legacy, and will soon be the epitaph for all hunting in general. Times change. Those who can adapt will survive. Those who steadfastly refuse to help others will fall victim to the growing anti-hunting campaign. We cannot scream save my way of hunting,,,, and oh by the way, "SCREW YOU" to everyone else. It's no longer a time to be ignorant and to play dumb. We must respect each other, and try to work together. It's obvious from all "South" posts regarding dog issues that the dog clubs will never compromise, and this can't have anything other than negative consequences for us all. That's about as clear as I can get.

Your statement and whole argument is way off based.

VHDA and their mouthpiece Hokieman, is against Sunday hunting. It's a selfish act too. First they don't want anyone to hunt when they can't. Just look at the no muzzle loader law in Southampton county. Which BTW is one of the leading dog chaser counties in SE VA. SH is the ONLY county in the state that doesn't allow ML to hunt. They wouldn't allow bowhunting if they could stop it but they can't. I've talked to and dealt with the dog chasers for years there and I speak from personal experience dealing with them.
Second Sunday hunting will help bring about the end of dog hunting. Hows that you say? Land owners in the dog chaser counties know what a living hell deer gun season has been turned into by the dog chasers. They know sundays are a safe day from their long tradition of crap. So VHDA to preserve their future says no to Sundays.
Simple enough to understand but don't expect HM to admit it. All the horse riders and hikers excuses are pure BS. The law was for private land. Why can't owners control or make safe their own land during gun if they choose to? Dog chasers and the absurd laws, or lack of laws they run under. As long as the dog chaser exists in the state they're in we'll never get Sundays. Hunting is at a standstill in VA over their "tradition" .

One more example of how VHDAis an arrogant, useless, selfish group of pigs. Their way or no way. It's bad enough dogs run loose on private property 6 days a week, they know that opening the seventh day will offer no rest for landowners and peaceful citizens. Still hunters, hunting on private land will disturb no one. A pack of hounds and a caravan of rabid rednecks, boozing down the highway surely will.

Way to go VHDA. Your time will come soon. Lawsuits against timber companies will be but one part of your downfall. The true problems you face is thepart of your membership who constantly break thelaw. They do need a orgainzaiton like yoursto continue to operate. Kinda like organized criminals. No let me clarify. You areorganized criminals. Good luck,,,I'd say you got about 3-5 years left,,, tops.
