Go to this link to comment on the planning of changing the quota permit system and make permits non-transferable. Send a comment to stop this and leave the system the way it is.

i had heard Scott Berish says something about hearing comments until Oct. 12...hope it's not too late to comment.......that could be the worst thing for us hunters., at this this way , we can trade or beg for permits that we didnt get......hope they figure out something to make everyone happy......

Because I'd still like to be able to pass my quota permit on to someone else to use in the event I couldn't make it. I had it happen to me twice already. Once for a illness in the family and the second instance I was stuck on the couch with a bout of pneumonia. Both times I gave those quota hunts away and they were utilized and not wasted.

yeah, that would be nice wouldn't it.....i'm a firm believer in taking does, mature does, the older the better........at toso. we do the 50/50 thing....for every buck taken , we'd like to see a doe taken as well, but that number is usually lower.....but it seems to be working...wish more wma's would try it......

Ohhh. are you saying that they are trying to make the quota permits non transferable? I think they shouldstay transferable. I agree on some doe days also. I didnt see anything but does at churchlake wma this bow season and my buddy said he had about 10 does around him at one time there also and no bucks.

Huntnma,
They will be taking public comment thru Dec. 13th. They had the St. Augustine Public Workshop on the 29th, only 5 hunters showed up to voice their opinion. This is very sad!! If we don't speak up we will not be able to complain about what we get. I posted my comment on thew siteand plan to attended the Nov. 15th meeting in Orlando.
