I shot a doe sat. evening with my 35 whelen. Dad shot a real nice 8 pt probably a120-130 gross, dressed out 152 lbs. We saw a lot a small bucks, but Dad got the only real shooter. Weird weather 30's in a.m. and 80's in the p.m.

thats aweome about the savage 110. I have one in 7mm and I love it. I actually shot that doe the other weekend with my savage 110 out of your stand that you let me borrow.
I was going to give you a call tonight just to touch base with you so you didnt think I ran off with you climber. That sucker is awesome, before next season im gonna get a viper. We need to figure a time to get together and figure out the elk hunt. We may end up hunting diferent locations, but we may be in the same area and we can team up if you still want.

i hunted ft sill on the 11th and the little bucks were chasing does, but I went out on the 17th and saw no rutting activity. then I also went out yesterday and saw quite a few does, but no bucks. I guess I missed the peak in southwestern oklahoma
