RE: Adding 5 days to my archery..
ORIGINAL: floridabucks Calusa, What type of environmental work do you do? Just curious.. I have a degeree in wildlife management and Icould never find an environmental job that suited me. I work for a small engineering firm and I handle all the environmental permitting for residential and commercial projets. Mostly it involves determining wetland lines, wetland impact permitting, listed species permitting like gopher tortoises, etc. It is a nice mix of field and office work. What year did you graduate and where w/ wildlife managment? I got my start interning in college at the Florida DEP and ended up getting a job there almost 10 years ago. |

RE: Adding 5 days to my archery..
Calusa,
Igraduatedwithan Associates in wildlife management from Hocking College in Ohio in 2002. Very hands on school. I radio tracked turkey and deer, tranq'ed and collared and tatooed black bear, even had to present a management plan for a1300 acre tract of landthe school owned. Loved every minute of it. After school, I worked in Montana on a Grizzly hair snag studywith the US Forest Service. When that appointment was over I moved to Florida to be with my wife (gf at the time) and now I'm the lead supervisor for acommercial pressure washing company. Only one good thing about my job: lots of nights so I can hunt most days. |
