RE: hanging tree stands early
if you have a portable stand i would take it in on the day of the hunt. why take even the smallest chance of changing the deer travel patterns?

RE: hanging tree stands early
Chuck,
My area I will hunt off Powder is about 100 yards from a roughly 16 foot tallmetal ladder stand. I wonder if it is yours? I will have to look at more closely later. It is in an area of Pine trees and looks like it was set for mainly rifle hunting. But I believe you hunt a little deeper and this stand is only about 1/2 mile off Powder Grade. Cheers, Chris The 16 footer is on the edge of a bayhead..very well hidden over looking a HUGE Palmetto field. ..It has vines grown up into th esteps..If you see one liek that by all means use it..I normally don't hunt on th edge of bayheads..I hunt in the bayheads...All of my 3 spots are literaaly in the bayheads..My other ladder stand is wooden but very sturdy..it's located olong pines and on the outside of a bayhead..Since it's heavy and I no longer hunt the edges it's available too, I won't share it's location because the area is a hot spot as well..I've seen many hogs and deer there..th eonly problem..they seem to only pass that stand at 5:30AM}-: |
