Free whitetail deer hunt
We provide free whitetail deer hunts for children in North Western North Carolina.
If you know of any kids who would not otherwise be able to hunt, please let us know. [email protected]
Parents/Guardians are welcomed to go with their kids, but we do not provide hunts for adults.
Kids are required to have passed the NC Hunter's Ed course.
We also teach this course several times a year.
You can find a schedule at www.youthoutside.org and click on upcoming events. Our next class is August 10th and 11th.
Kids do not have to be residents of NC to hunt with us.
Everything except taxidermy is provided including processing.
We may have some leads on discounted taxidermy as well.

I think it's a great way to get our youth involved in our hunting heritage. How do you handle the hunter's ed for non-NC residents? If my oldest son takes it here in VA, does that transfer, or would he be required to attend the NC course?

Some states will require an additional course called IBEP, to be able to bow-hunt. (International Bow hunters Education Program).
