This buck was shotin Nelson County Va. at 1:10 in the afternoon with a 270win about 40 yards. It is a old mountain buck....no fields, no food plotsand nofences. I guess it must have had a bunch of acorns to grow a rack like that. It is largest buck I have personally have taken.I am not sure what it may score (or what class buck this is) However, it seems Mountain deer grow at a slower rate than a corn farm feed deer! ha

He's a nice deer. He might make 130. One thing, you don't have a lot of deductions. Your spread and beam length is where most of your pts are and he has some mass. that will count more than you think,
hellova deer though. Look at mine on the thread my 10 pt. He scored 129 4/8 green, but I had a lot of deductions

Thanks guys for your help both on the this site and helping me try to score this buck. Ialways here about classes of bucks but never new a reference to what a 130+ class buck might look like...I guess I will now!I only have (2) pics of this deer so I will attach the other one. Bestof luck to all the hunters out there.. and be careful the high winds are a coming!
