Default Any luck in Kentucky yet?

Has anyone had any luck deer hunting in Kentucky this archery season yet? Does? Bucks?

I have spent many a days on stand with no luck yet, have seen deer but have not put one on the ground. Deer are not moving that well right now, hopefully things will pick up with this cold front that is suppost to be moving in. I guess we will just have to see.

I shot anice gobbler opening day and that has been it. I did see a lot more deer action tonight than I have since season opened. Had a nice 2 and a half year old 8 point come walking by, and he was tall for his age, but decided to give him a little more time. Hope he gets alittle smarter before the bullets start flying.

good luck.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am in the southeast part of the state (Owsley Co.), what about yourself. I have not been able to make it to the stand the past few day, but plan to hit it tomorrow evening. All I have to say is to lets try to keep our heads up, because cold weather is just around the corner and we all know what that means! Thats when the monsters on Kentucky begin to roam.

Good luck to you all this season.

I hunt in KY (Mulenburg County) and have seen a couple of does. 1 or 2 rubs. Nothing to brag about. I'm from Southeast KY. also.(Perry Co.) I've seen a couple of nice deer (I almost hit about a 10 point with my truck) but just not the same quanity as in the western part of the state.

i live up in leatherwood in perry county and there a quite a few deer up in this neck of the woods. killed a nice twelve point here last year. i think now that it is gettin a little colder the bucks around here should start makin some rubs and scrapes pretty good soon. i would say there is a lot more deer down in mulen burg than here. had alot of my family hunt there in the past.

Found one nice rub when placing stand. Muzzloading starts on Saturday and I plan to be there. I hunt Harrdin county toward the Vine Grove/Ft.Knox area.

I have land in Henderson, Union, Crittenden and Webster county's and have noticed more rubs every week. If the weather stays cool we could have a good muzzle loader weekend.
good hunting.
