Opening day of VA squirrel season
September 2nd - who's going?
|
RE: Opening day of VA squirrel season
I may go and get in a little early season scouting for deer too, and see if the acorns are going to be booming again this year.

RE: Opening day of VA squirrel season
Hopefully so:D

RE: Opening day of VA squirrel season
My son passed his Hunter Ed. at Quantico this past weekend, so we are going to break him into hunting via the squirrels at Phelps - can't wait.

RE: Opening day of VA squirrel season
That's where I'll be on opening day too, at the Phelps.
|
RE: Opening day of VA squirrel season
I'll be Phelps also - hopefully I won't get Lymes again this year like I did last year

RE: Opening day of VA squirrel season
Lyme disease? WTF! Where I grew up in NJ lyme is a huge problem, but I didn't think it was a plague down here. Did you contract it at the WMA?

RE: Opening day of VA squirrel season
I will be at phelps too. Squirrel, dove, scouting, clearing a few shooting lanes, shooting the xbow, and possibly smacking a september goose.;)

Yep, I got it at Phelps.Just be sure to take percautions, use deet on all exposed skin areas and permethrin on your cloths. Take a shower when you get home and check for ticks. If you do get it see an infectious disease specialist & you'll be fine. |
