Is there any hog or spring bear hunting in N.C. thanks for any info

I believe you can hunt hogs year round. So it's hogs yes, but bear no.

Didn't know about any special hunts in Charlotte, I'd love for you to tell me about it. Sounds like I've been missing something. I've heard you can find hogs in the mountains but I"ve never pursued them. Most of my hunting has been done in SC and PA. SC has oodles of them in the low country.

Yea, they have special permit hunts. You get to bow hunt in special areas inside the city limits. At least last time I looked they were doing it. CHeck the ncwildlife.org website and then look for special hunts. I looked into it 3 years ago, but decided that it was to far. But it would be a good opportunity if you lived near there. Suburban deer are cool to hunt, some bruisers there feeding on all those manicured lawns.

no to spring bear in nc (only if you like to pay a lot of money and like jail) as to hogs in the mountians i have seen a few but nothing to brag about the best hog hunting would be in sc or fl (west coast of fl is the best) hogs in nc if on game lands fall under nc law with a season

There is a place over at Taylorsville that has guided hunts for hogs.Also some hogs on the gamelands in the western part of the state.
