Wow ...I just checked it out. You are 72 miles from me. That is along ways. I can tell you that Citrus or Croom might be a better option for ya. I appreciate the hunting together but I hate to see ya drive all tha tway to possibly strike out. I'm only 30 miles from the Green Swamp. I am 45 minutes away and you are 1 1/2 hours. Sorry you live so far away.

chuck, it only takes about 30 to 45 minutes for us in leesburg to get to green swamp. those internet maps are incorrect when it comes to the time it takes to drive. back to the possible state record taken in green swamp...i heard further on it....non-typical and 195 pounds. still unsure if it's true or not!

I'm from MD and have hunted PA and MO as well and I saw a deer who's tracks were bigger than any I've ever seen. I'm goin gback Sat. 190 is a huge deer by the way . Thanks for sharing. Also thanks for the mileage check. I don't feel to bad for Matt. now. I hate guaranteeing anyone anything in the Green Swamp. Very tough hunting.;)
C ya.

yeah it's not a bad drive at all. the shortest time it took a buddy and i to get home from richloam was 25 mins. it usually takes me a little over 30 though. the drive goes pretty fast though.

That deer is probably the one killed in Richloam..16pt. and has picture in the newest Wood's and Water mag. or whatever the name is.
I've been up at 471 side of Greenswamp East all season and no real big bucks have been killed and checked out of that check station. Could be Greenswamp West Special Opportunity hunt..which is every day of the season according to the shots I hear coming out of there every day.
