Hey info I gathered from one of the biologist says,

"According to OK state deer biologists peak rut is Nov
14-19. According to a researcher named Lindzey the rut
is Nov 2-26, which I suspect will include about 50
percent of the breeding. No matter where you are, the
first does usually come into estrus about a month
before peak breeding; and the fawns, yearlings and
unhealthy does may come into estrus from a month to
two months after peak breeding."

Don't know if this helps but here it is.

As to the Cowboys.....not in football.....only in basketball....I M originally from Arkansas but respect Eddie after he dried out and got the act together. Luck to you.

I'm here too. Live in Norman and hunt anywhere I get a chance. Do a lot of deer hunting around Shawnee. The biologist may say that, but with my experience, the peak of the rut has been the week of blackpowder and the following week. At least that is when I see most of the bucks chasing the does.

That's my 2 cents

I agree with Sooner, we see alot more bucks coming in behind does during blackpowder season than gun. 88,000 is one of if not the main road that runs through the land where we hunt, from cloudy to nashoba i think, is where it comes out. It looks like I will be blackpowder hunting around home this year, none of us can get up there for opening weekend.
