Default Hunting Log

I am wondering if anyone besides me keeps a hunting journal or hunting log book for referance later. I've been doing this for years and it gives me an idea of where to start hunting the next season. I include weather, dates, days, location, time of day of sightings of deer, kills, and a brief story line for each hunt the whole season. Then after hunting season is over and done with, deep into winter or early spring, I open up my hunting journal and read all the trips I made into the woods and relive the whole advanture. It's great reading, and if I didn't write it all down, I'd have forgotten over half of it anyway. Since I usually hunt only two tracks of land, the journal gives me a good idea of which stand will produce the most deer as the hunting season progresses the following deer season. Have any of you ever wrote down your hunting trips like this?

No but I kind of use this forum as a log. That's why you hang'em on the wall, to remember the whole adventure and the spot youhunted so you know wether to go back or not!

Yea, I keep one of sorts. Where I hunted, what time I saw deer, what kind of deer and how many, what the deer looked like...so maybe I can recognize him next year, stuff like that. Will write in detail if I shoot something, also take along the videocamera when its possible.

I've been keeping a record this year of the day and times that I've seen deer or when someone kills one. I haven't been taking weather measurments or any other conditions such as moon phases and what not. More for memories than scouting/planning.

I have been keeping a hunting log for years. They are a great reference to look back on. I include weather conditions, Moon Phase, scents I used, and deer sightings and the location the deer came from.

I keep a log on weather, humidity, barometric pressures, temperturesand moon phases. I always hang around the check stations and ask alot of questions on deer kills and thier locations and what times they were shot.I go to those areas and log all vegetation and habitat.
You have to do your home work if you want to kill deer!
