RE: Questions For North Florida Hunters
1. I live near DeFuniak Springs, but I'm about 23 miles from Bonifay.
2. Walton County has the highest point in Fl. at 345 feet. Just rolling land mainly with some spots of blackgum/cypress ponds, but rarely do you find them very big. Holmes County is very similar.
3. Probably about 27/3/70 ratio.
4. Crime in the area is probably about like it is most anywhere in the NW Fl area. Meth is a problem, but it seems that junk is all over the place. I've been in the area about 34 years and overall it is a nice area.
5. I don't know what property tax is in Holmes County, but with homestead exemption it shouldn't be very bad.I would honestly prefer Walton County. Holmes is a very poor county, more bad dirt roads.
6. I wouldn't think tresspassing is a major problem. I've never had any problems.
7. Probably about an 8 as far as where I live. I bought out in the country and it is about 14 miles to Wal-Mart. Good school system with a number of new schools and new additions in the area.
Let me know if you consider Walton County, I know a couple of the school board members well.

RE: Questions For North Florida Hunters
Thank you very much. I would give the place I live at a 4. 1/2 million people/ Our county is the largest for Crank. Polk County. Jobs are available but the cost of living is way up ther. I feel for the poor people. The land sounds great. We have had rain eery day so I am dreading the Green Swamp although it's my only place until Nov. to hunt.
Our sites are on Bonifay.

Rebel,
That's funny ...I remember talking about my neighbors with you when I first came on this forum. You encouraged me that it was a problem in certain parts of Florida. I had PMed you. At that time it did not seem to be a problem .
The 5 huge dents I have in my Suburban tell me I may want to try a different neighbor hood. Sorry for all who were offended by my statement about race. After 3 years of being harassed by neighbors it kind of does stuff to ya. The police have been out about 15 times.

Chuck, I was trying to be deplomatic with you at the time. I was merely trying to
tell you to move on before you got cut-up deep, wideand continuously or shot.
To most ethnic groups, being a Christian is a sign of weakness. I do hope you find
the perfect place.
