NC bear hunt

We go to Joey's across from the Johnathan Creek Motel. We have been to
Blue Grass Resturant, but did not like it. We have been to Maggie Valley
Resturant many times. Sometimes we go to Ammons in Waynesville, just
up the road from Maggie Valley. Sometimes we go to Cherokee.

Hey guys,,, I'm a WNC mountain boy myself. Here's a couple ideas for your visit.
When you guys go to Cherokee, try driving through the Smokey Mountain National park. The entrance is on the back side of Cherokee. You take hwy 141 right over the mountains and come out in Gatlinburg TN. About a 45 min drive one way and it is beautiful. There are a LOT of great places to eat in Gatlinburg. I recommend Calhouns for BBQ ribs & steaks, The Cherokee Grill for steaks, and the Smokey Mountain Brewery for pizza and everything else. All 3 are on your right about 100 yards into Gatlinburg coming in on 141.
We've got the best bear population now that we've had in years. I saw 3 bear in the park this summer in one day - 2 adult, 1 cub. No hunting in the park of course, but the bear radiate out all over the place on public and private land.
Good luck to you all.
