What should I put out for the rabbits to get em fattened up for this fall? We have a shed that has about 8 or 9 rabbits living in the pile of lumber. I shot 2 of them last season with my pellet gun. I would like to put some stuff out to get em fattened up, but I dont know what to put out since its the summer.

down here, they sure do love deer corn. a 50lb bag should last you awhile for the rabbits. once they find the corn, they will go nowhere. in fact, they are hard to get rid of. one thing is for sure, a corn-fed animal (hog, deer, etc) will taste better than one that is not. good luck and good eating!!

alfalfa pellets would work good could even add some corn feed to it, something a friend used to do to fatten up cattle fast was mix fruit loop cereal into the feed, i dont know if rabbits will eat fruit loops but the high sugar content boost the caloric intake which will fatten them up.

How about a patch of dutch clover ?
I have a sinkhole in my front yard where I'll be doing just that if I can ever get my tiller back from my brother . I used to shoot many a clover fattened bunny from the back yard while growing up .
