Coon traps
does any one out there have and website that will tell you how to make a homemade coon trap out of wood or out of wire . if you do please write back and give the website or show me the blueprints to make one

if you have any 220 canibears you just have to make a box open on one end put the bait in the back and the trap on the front and some sweet smellin lures

ya emarch seems to have it right on the money, i use sardines and they really seem to go for them. good luck.

In barns I use apples or banna for bait because cats are not atracted to them but coon are

a 5 gallon bucket notched to hold a 220. Marshmallows are good for barn coons to avoid cats

i made a wooden trap with a hingdoor so it could go in but not out but can they lift a door like that. i put honey bund and 4 cans of fish steaks but not sardines. i have had no luck yet. i also drilled lots of 1 inch holes in it the trap is 12x12 and 29 inches londg is that two small. one other problem is by dogs i have 11 of them and i think they are eating the bait out of it any suggestions?

yes they can get out of something like that.

that will work if you put a latch on the door,so they can't lift it. if it doesn't have a latch they can lift it and stick there nose under and they are gone.

when i was younger i made a few box traps out of wood and wire fencing ..... used nylon line and filed down nails for the trigger mechanism ..... and wire fencing for the back of the trap ...that way when the door was open (trap set) the wind could pass thru the trap to spread the scent ..... they worked ok ....but would be better if ya spent a few bucks and got ya sum good traps ...... they will more than pay for themselves
