Default DONT USE SNARES IF POSSIBLE!!

I work for our local fur company and I just thought that I would try to help him and other fur buyers out by letting you know that one thing my boss hates the most is when people catch their coyotes and foxes with snares because it damages the hide and will bring down their prices at a fur auction, and will bring down the price you get for them.

like trapperdave said the only way that a snair can mess the hide up is if the snair is set up improperly. It might also depend rather it is a locking snair or non locking.

I agree with trapperdave and trapper_hunter. Here in the UK it is illegal for us to use locking snares and so far as long as it is set correctly and i dispatch it well, all my foxes have had good coats. Naturally you will get some that have mange/ been fighting etc but you cant help that.
