Hey ya'll, i got my first predator call this morning for Christmas. It's a Cass Creek Handheld with 5 calls on it: a jackrabbit distress, cottontail distress, coyote howl, pup distress and fawn distress. I plan on using a .357 with .38 hand loads that i've used for possum/coon control for my grandparents. I plan on hunting either our hay field or pasture...is what i have enough for coyotes?
What kind of pattern do i need to use for night calling, using what i have? Do i need anything else?

There is more to it than can be shared here. Here is a link to a video that has tips for newbies to old timers. I've night hunted nearly 40 years and couldn't tell you more than you'll learn from this video. http://www.huntingthenightshift.com/
It's well worth the price.
