Hows everones squirrel season going? I got 29 so far. Ive been out every weekend either sat or sun or both. I've gotten a squirrel almost every time ive been out. That time I didnt, was opening day..Any accidents? Anyone see any large deer?

My opening weekend was this past weekend, 10-5-02 and 10-6-02, and as of Sunday morning I had 15 squirrels, one short of the limit of 16. Lots of red fox squirrels mixed with grays. I also got my limit on Mosquitos, which was 1 million.
I hunted on my lease which is on hwy 61 in LaPlace, La. and it was a great opening weekend.
But late in the season I hunt the Maurepas swamp WMA and the higher ground in Livingston parish.
My gun is a Mossberg 835 Ulti Mag 12 guage Camo pump shotgun. 28 inch barrel, shooting #4s, hi power load, out of the full choke I have screwed in it. I just got this gun recently and I love it. It is a brute of a shotgun, but it knocks them dead. I have four different chokes for it including the extended Ulti Full Turkey Choke.
