i have a 77/22 mag. i was thinking of switching to a 17hmr barrell....is this too light of a load for coyotes out to 100yards. my guess would be yes but ive never killed one with a rifle before. also should i expect more precision from it with 17hmr? thanks

Once i get my 17hmr im going to using it to hunt yotes. as long as you keep your shots close and use the right bullet for your shot placement. I personlay am going to use the Ballistic tip and take only head shots but many people have said that when using the 20gr bultet they can take broadside heart and lung shots becuase the bullet gives them more penitration. Its all about your shot placement.
