Went out on the trap line tonight to check on my wolvering and red fox sets. There was a pretty good storm blowing through, so I was pulling all my sets. The last one to check was my wolverine set. I was walking up on it and could see an animal lying there, fully caught in the 330 conibear. It looked big, but couldn't tell what it was under the snow. From a distance I thought wolverine, but as I got closer I saw a huge tail so I was thinking a wolf. When I got up on it I could tell it was a very large fox, and I started brushing snow off and saw mostly white and silver. I thought I caught a huge arctic way down south. I brushed the legs off and they were jet black, then the under side was jet black with a long red oval in it. It was a huge silver/cross fox with pure black legs, and patterns all over the body. The face was black with silver fur, and the larger portions of silver, white and black fur nearly looked blue.
This one is getting a full body mount! It is absolutely gorgeous! I took some video on the line and some pictures when I got back to the house. I'll have them posted in a couple of weeks for you guys.
Besides the fox tonight, I have taken 14 arctic fox. I'll reset down south in a day or so when the blow is over, and try to get that wolverine hanging out.
How is everybody else doing this year?

Hey guys, I found some photo's of silver fox on the web and posted them under the West Forum, Thread for Alaskans, Page 16. If you were curious what it sort of looked like, you can get an idea from that. The one I got also had some cross fox in him, which added some red patterns on his sides and bottom.
