They are all over the place here where I live . And I always here people say they would never shoot a black squirrel and was just wandering your reason?

RE: Squirrel Contest teams and Pictures

this is why i don't shoot them:
-i find them very fun to watch
-there is so few around most people around here never see them.
-they are at a disavantage compared to the grey squirrel when it comes to being able to hide from preditors.
-i figure if i let them live there will be more to watch next year.
-plenty of grey and red squirrels to shoot.

it is hard to answer really i mean i wouldn't shoot and albino deer either.

I'll shoot them everytime. I see more black squirrels around here than others. For every ten squirrels I see, probably 7 will be black; 2 will be greys, and 1 will be a fox squirrel.

Killer243...To not shoot an albino deer is your choice, but genetically it is a bad one.

Albinos are genetically inferior deer. They shouldn't breed in an area where QDM is being practiced. Granted they are "pretty and all", but they are not as strong as "normal" deer.

If an albino buck breeds 4 does and each has one buck fawn, there are now 5 genetically inferior bucks in an area that used to have one.

I'm not knocking your choice to let them walk, though. To each his own.

Ok, I was just seeing what your reason was. I have heard some bogus reasons like "they are poison" wtf. And they taste bad. I shoot them just like Jumpshootin is becuz they are all over the place.
