When your hunting squirrels do you clean them rate after you shoot them or do you cool them and clean them when your done like with birds? Im new to small game and was hoping to not have to waste an animal to learn.

when you go to skin it, if it is still a little warm, it is so much easier to skin. if you wait a couple of hours, it gets much harder to pull off. especially around the head and neck areas and legs.

as squirrelhunter91 said when they are warm they skin a lot easier.as for the head and feet,I always put mine into water,(it helps with the hair not sticking to the meat).then I chop the head , tail ,and feet off with a small hatchet.then skin them.
(I found if you chop the head and tail off when you split the back,it all comes off in one pull.
