Default Scope Question

The other day my mother and I went to our local sporting goods center and was looking around at the stuff when my mother saw a bolt action rifle that was fairly small and asked to see it. It was a .243 and she asked was it good for coyotes and the person helping us told it was good for that and deer. Although my mother is an accomlished shooter with her .22 LR she has failed to step up to a centerfire rifle and she shouldered this one and it actually felt comfortable to her and she is probably going to buy it within the week so I was wondering what kind of scope to put on it. I have very little experience with scopes but im fairly good at sighting them in. And I have no experience shooting coyotes so I would appreciate it if someone also would give me some loads to use on them. By the way I am going to a guide to learn the right way, my current hunting experience is florida deer with my .30-30 and squirrels and quail with a shotgun. Thank you for any amount of help you can give me. Ted

a 3-9 variable is a good all around scope, maybe bump up the power if she's into longe ranging it

Default RE: Scope Question

I would go witha 3-9, buy a upper end scope. No bushnell banners! Leupold, Bushnell Elite etc.
