I might just toss in that ya don't want your speaker to be distorting.Ya might try calling the first couple minutes at a low volume then turn it up, but don't get it so load that it distorts. Any cottontail, jackrabbit or wood pecker distress should bring in a hungry coyote, and coming into the part of the season that pup distress will work also. My favorite time to call is just before sunrise upto about 9:30 or 10 am, but generally can call coyotes anytime of the day, exspecially when it's cold. GOOD LUCK!
