I am ready to vote.
I vote for catmando's picture. Quality of the picture and he has the coyotes weapons and background scenery all workin for him in that one.
A close second for me was MA jay's picture of the coyote he was holding up by the legs. Impressive size of dog and the snow falling. Looks like he was having fun.

Gang,
This contest will run until January 31, 2004. After that date, we can tally votes and declare a winner. If favorable, I 'll put up more prizes for a second contest to be held in February
I'm love to see these pics. Keep 'em coming. It's nice to see the success that's happening all over the country

Thanx Duck!
That was a great coyote and a nice mount. But I shot it back in 1998! I need to get some fresh yote pix. The problem is... I can only call in red fox this year[
]
I hope I can change things in Feb

Sorry duckhuntin and bhw just not feelin it on the mount pictures.
For me, I really like the field photos better.
bhw that really looks like a wolf or maybe a coydog.
What is the story on that "coyote"?
Never seen a coyote that looked anything like that.
Maybe the Eastern coyotes just look that different from the Western coyotes??

noway,
I'm with you on the mount pics. Mounts are a great reminder of hunts for display. However, in a contest or in a photo album, a great field photo showing a thrilled/happy hunter, a nice critter, and some landscape takes the cake!
Too bad I can't contribute to this contest with such a yote pic!!! I'm not giving up on the idea, I just have to get out there and start howling to find the coyotes. I even had a red fox charge into the only howling I've done this year. How's that for luck? [
