Shotgun coyote load question
I have some questions about the Hornady Heavy Magnum coyote shells(3 inch 00 buckshot) The main question being can they be fired out of a lead shot only choke being nickel plated? Also could they double as a deer load too. Thank you in advance.

If you are looking for the best coyote shotgun ammo take a look at the Hevishot Dead Coyote shells. The 12 gauge shell is awesome with it's downrange energy
and how accurately they pattern. We have really gotten into shooting coyotes in the woods which is up close and personal. I prefer the T size in 3".

Yes, you can shoot 00 buck with lead shot chokes don't use full choke it blows the pattern most time.
Your better off with 4 buck or better yet Lead F, you get WAY more pellets in a shell.
Lead BB is also a very good coyote load.
NEVER use Steel If you can help it. It is by far the worst coyote load you can try.

they're like $10 a shot nowadays if you can get them.

Personally, I only shoot lead from lead only chokes. Not nickel plated lead - lead. If 00 buck is legal in your area for deer, and it patterns well for you, and you want to use buckshot instead of any of many other superior options, then it would work.
