2020 Squirrel Contest
 

Alright, time to sign up, set teams, and start posting pictures.

We have some members with almost year around squirrel seasons. . The contest will run until the end of the year, and next January we will start the new years contest. Anyone can sign up anytime. We had allot of squirrels entered in this past contest, allot of participation. Hope to see another good year here. Invite your friends.

Same as before, Any DEAD Squirrel, by any legal methods. Post a picture of your squirrel, preferably with gun/bow for it to be counted. If you need to skin them before you can get a picture, just post the skinned ones. As more sign up, I'll add them to the teams!

Also If anyone has youth hunters that are not members of the site, but would like to be in the contest, just Pm me and we'll add them with you on your team. We've had this in the past a few times and have had some PMs asking about it.

Signups and score will be posted in the second post on this thread.

A dull grey cloudy opening morning here in Missouri. Couldn't get to my honey hole with the big mulberry tree this morning, crick was just too high to cross so I went to another spot. Only seen three, managed to bring two of them home.

Add 10 to the till. My first Missouri limit with a handgun, all from the same mulberry tree. In at daylight, out by 8:30.

Well friday when I shot the 10 I was in at daylight (6:00) and out by 8:30. Today I got in at 6:00 also but was there till about 9:30, they weren't coming in as fast and I didnt see as many. The mulberrys are just getting ripe on this tree (only one around) so I figure another week and they will have it pretty much stripped of fruit. May go out in the morning with my Browning Buckmark and see what happens.

Missed the first five I seen this morning before I figured out it was hitting about 1 1/2" low. Note to self, check your rifle before taking it the woods for the first of the season.

One more yesterday.

Apparently there can be only one, starting to feel like the Highlander.

At least I'm consistent.

LH I'll get caught up on these sometime this week. Haven't been on a desktop in a while.

To everyone: make sure you're keeping track of your own numbers as well, I've been known to have difficulty counting in the past lol.

I'm going in for rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder in the morning so though I would get one last hunt in, good thing is I should be healed and ready to go right when it starts cooling off. Hopefully!
Two more for the till, should bring me up to 28 for the season so far.
