I've been seeing a ton of squirrel while turkey hunting. Way more than I have been in past years.

Might be a good year for the squirrel, hoping so.

My boy turns 6 this fall.

Haven't decided if he'll be using a .410 or a .22... But he'll be out with me in the afternoons chasing squirrel.

If last year in Tennessee was any indication, between May and June squirrels can just about disappear from where they were swarming. And then you get home and see them everywhere in your neighbor's yard.

That's what I'm worried about.

The last few falls numbers have seemed low to me compared to years past.

Hoping this season changes that.
