I got to go enjoy the first day of spring hunting rabbits this afternoon with my dad.

Good looking bunnies, our season (Arkansas) closed last month and now I have to wait until September, can't wait.
Congrats.

Ummmmm, rabbit parboiled shaken in flour, salt and pepper and fried in bacon fat. Can't beat it.

I've had a few people ask me for my rabbit and dumplings recipe. I'm gonna have to make a blog post on my website and share it. I'll have to make a pot first and write down everything as I go since I've never actually followed a recipe.

That is the best way to cook. A bit of this a dash of that and a pinch too, taste and a little of some thing else. Never has a true recipe dish that didn't taste better with tweaking. The recipe is just a starting point.
