I've shot many a Coyote with a .223 and a .204 but as You mentioned using a lighter ballistic tip bullet it will expand better....all mine have had a small entrance hole, but "No" exit hole with very little hide damage on either Calibers.Im using 39 grain Sierra Blitz Kings in the .204 and 55 grain Hornady V- max bullets in the .223.You hit one with a larger caliber the exit wound/hole is going to be pretty darn Big!

I have to call baloney regarding your statements, as that Hornady VMax will tear a big hole in a yote most of the time and you flat out don't know what you're talking about when you go on about the bigger calibers leaving a big exit wound. Just as NM and Super54 have stated, they won't if the proper bullet is used and if you want to keep arguing then it's obvious that you haven't used any to shoot a yote like a lot of us old timers have and are just guessing with nothing to back yourself up.

maybe he has a fast twist 223 that expands the v-max's more, I know for a fact the twist will affect expansion. He's spot on with the 39 gr. sierra's
