Talking Rainy day entertainment

During Saturdays rain I sat on the couch and watched this drowned rat harvest maple seed off the tree. Figure it was a she and was gathering to feed her babies. I know she spent a lot of time doing it in the rain, all but the hardest down pours. Just looked out and she is at it as I type this.

I've been watching a couple gray squirrels doing the same thing on the big maple tree next to our house that has a ton of seeds this year. It's almost dropped them all with the rain over the weekend and there are so many you can hardly tell our driveway is concrete.

Yup that maple is loaded and still a lot after the rain Saturday and wind Sunday. But not all the maples as so loaded here.
