Default First Bobcat

This certainly isn't the biggest cat in the woods (female) but it is my first and one I am proud of. After not seeing any Turkeys in a fall spot that always produced I began to wonder why. There was plenty of feed, it just didn't make sense that they have been there for years and then nothing this year. Even the farmers told me they had not see any at all. With that in mind I figured I'd try and call in a coyote or two. To my surprise I called in a cat.... twice...two weeks before the season opened (I didn't even know we had a Bobcat hunting season until I got home and looked it up). Finally after being out ten times during season I was able to call this one in. Super Bowl Sunday at 5:00 shot was 103 yards. I went straight to the taxidermist and for the first time in many years missed most of the Super Bowl (though it was worth missing).

Thanks guys. It is going to be a while before I get this one back. Lots of deer and moose for him to get done before he gets to the cat but should come out great with the fur being prime. Going with a stalking closed mouth pose on a mckenzie branch.
