Default New Here..any hound doggers here?

I'm new here, the weather was real bad today so I've been stuck inside and looking around on the internet...

I hunt bears and lions with hounds out west here on mules the old fashion way.. I use to run coyotes on horseback with staghounds..

Here is a video from back then with a surprise ending

Welcome!

I used to hunt coyotes, bobcats and fox on horseback with a pack of about 50 hounds. It was always a blast. We used stag hound blood to enhance the pack of foxhounds we had.

Where-abouts do you live? You run in some beautiful country.

We ran in Georgia. We actually rotated the 50 out of a pack of 200. It was quite the operation. Getting all 50 back by the end of the hunt was even a bigger operation lol

New Mexico looks awesome. I bet hunting hounds on horseback there is so much fun. I just got done watching your bear video and your hounds are very well behaved!

Grew up running greyhounds on flatbed trucks for coyotes, and still run coonhounds for 'ringtailed silver bears' all winter. Few things in life more satisfying than seeing/hearing dogs work and put fur up high.

Have a few Walker coon hounds. Love hearing that hound music.

Yeah nothing like hearing the hounds.. we have had some rare snow here the last couple of days and have been driving trying to cut a track... would much rather be on the mule riding the back country..
