Hello!

I'm new to this community and I'm hoping to figure out how to hunt small game.

I'm moving to Las Cruces, New Mexico in about 8 months. I'm wondering if we have anyone experienced in hunting Jackrabbits in the west? What kind of gun should I be using? I have a Remington .22 model 581 right now and a 20ga. Next, what brand/kind of bullet cartridge should I be using? Should I invest in a Greyhound? I hear beagling works well, but would it be necessary in the desert? What sorts of useful gear are out there for rabbit hunting and what would be necessary? The next question would have been about cleaning and cooking them but I've already googled it.
