Default been knockin em down !

went out 3 times in the last month with a fresh snow each time, and nailed a coyote each time ! missed on a double on two of the hunts. shot them with an AR-10 .243 80gr,soft points.
really tore the last on up.i'm getting some .58 grain v-max soon.
first one was a 100 yd chest shot, second one was a 300 yd head shot and third one was facing me at 80 yds.last one wasn't worth skinning

Congrats! The .243 is a great round but I think you'll find most any bullet for it will do a fair amount of fur damage.

Congrats on taking some of those dogs out !

I use .75 gr. V-max out of my .243 and never get that kind of pelt damage.

Shot a bobcat yesterday, pinky size entry and sliver dollar/fifty cent piece size exit hole.

When right down................dedicated predator rig using a Remington 700 SPS DM.

Thumbs up load for coyotes

i have used a 75gr hollow point with 45 fr of h414 they are hot !!! and will blow up on any twig . and sometimes not exit on a coyote.
better work up to this load with caution.
