all calls can call coyotes,I have killed several with turkey calls.I have owned a johnny stewart preymaster and it served me well.I now used a foxpro FX3 but you probably dont want to spend that kinda cash just getting in to it.I have several decoys and at times they are very handy to have ,but mr. coyote already has the sound pegged when he comes running in.Mouth calls are the cheapest way to go and will call coyotes very well. The main thing is control your scent, movements and how you get to that spot you are sitting when the calling starts,if he see's,hear's,smell's or just notices a new shape by that tree the sound is coming from it's game over 99% of the time, the pups are all educated by now or dead,so there aint very many easy ones left.I always carry a johnny stewart mouth call with me even deer hunting,if the deer arent moving maybe the dogs are coming in.Goodluck and good hunting..
