Default Single or Cross Stake for Coon Traps?

I made some 12" stakes & welded a washer near the top, probably should have made them longer but oh well for the time being. I'll be setting out some Duke DP traps this weekend & was wondering if a raccoon is strong enough to pull up one stake thats drove into the ground at an angle or is it better to cross stake the trap?

One stake would be plenty, unless you have alot of Giant coons, I personally have never had a coon pull out a stake..
