Default 3 hour challengw bark no lie

i got in about half hour ago from a yote hunt...had some spook deer away from me so after bout an hour after dark went out and sat on a cornsr post to see if i couldnt get one to come in ...sure enougb i 5 minutes after my first squeal one barked 100yds out...but right in line with the grass that seperates crp from corn stuble...and he just wouldnt show himself ..hhad another come in down wind then took off ..but the one stayes for 3 hours barkin at me...i tried everything ..even crawled 50yds in snow tryin to get him in the scope...finaly it went in timber and others howled and he just stayed quiet or left ...so i left after realizin what time it was ...sorh for long read but never experienced somethin quite like that...

Ah, the old stand off. Trying howling once and then going totally quiet on him. The silence may get the better of him and make come to investigate what "was" there. This is, of course, assuming that he did not see or smell you prior to the standoff.

I'd guess it was a warning bark and it's hard to beleive that a coyote would do it for three hours, let alone someone would sit and listen to a coyote warning bark for that long. Sounds like you were busted and should've taken the hint, go home, you're busted and wasting your time!
