Default Calling educated coyotes

I called in my second coyote today. I was using the Primos Hot Dog coyote howler. I howled and he howled back and then I went to the rabbit in distress call and he came running in. I put the shotgun bead on his neck and squeezed the trigger and CLICK. The shell was a dud . The coyote turned and calmly walked away. I dont know if he saw me or not, but I waited 20 minutes and changed to a new spot and called again. He never came back or answered my calls. My question is, assuming the coyote saw me, how can I hunt him now? I have heard that all you do is use a different set of sounds to bring him in and I might try that approach. I also bought some new shells .

"............The coyote turned and calmly walked away."

Tells me since the shell was a dud, you might have a chance to call that one back in on another day with a different call.

Expect them to comein from down wind.....................

Good huntin !
